Of course Covid 19 had put paid to ideas of boundless adventure. Staying in the local vicinity was favoured so we headed just across the way to the outskirts of Charlbury…
What happens when after the best part of a year of Covid 19 restrictions, we decide that it’s time to consider our holiday options? With trips abroad unlikely for a while, we decided that a camper may be our best option. We got lucky – though a little painful from the start, our lives changed instantly and we are now very proud to call ourselves – ‘Midlife VanLife Folk’
We are the Trevaskis family. Andy 55, Alli 56 with four wonderful [gotta say that or they will kill me] children – Christopher [Kip] 33, Laurence 29, Hannah 26 & Willem 17. Married for 35 years [I know right?] and together for the best part of 40, we live in a small – some would say idyllic – hamlet in Oxfordshire. OK – Willem is currently the only offspring left at home – the rest have well and truly flown the nest and are well underway in extending the family 😉.
This BLOG serves as a kind of diary for us and anyone strange enough to be remotely interested. We wanted something to look back on when memories fade and age addles etc. etc.

The advert appeared in the Thames Valley Autotrader and it was the pictures that initially caught my eye. Even on full zoom, the van looked very tidy indeed and had many attributes that made it attractive. The alloys, the chrome, the high end awning…the interior, less so; but it appeared that much of the hard work had been done and with some discussion we decided to call the number.
