Our 35th Anniversary

We Carpe'd the Diem pretty damn well!!

As we were effectively still in lockdown, all we could do was take the day off.  So, with Alli’s favourite mantra – we Carpe’d the Diem pretty damn well.

The weather was fair, a little cool but with clearish skies and little chance of rain so we headed to one of our favourite spots near Lechlade – oddly named Cheese Wharf.  There is a small parking area right next to an oxbow in the Thames.  We had the place to ourself pretty much and sat in the sun and ‘people watched’ and picnicked.

After a short walk, we upped stumps and headed for our favourite chippy in Long Hanborough – bit of a trek, but they are bloody good!  We found a spot by the Windrush, parked up and enjoyed Champagne and Fish & Chips while watching a stunning sunset.

Just shows, you don’t have to go far to see beauty and enjoy the countryside. It’s right on our doorstep…

A gratuitous repeat photo of our Frankie looking simply splendid:)
